Meeting people exactly where they are — that's what community is all about.
At Alabama Childhood Food Solutions, "whatever it takes" means ensuring that a lack of transportation or mobility never stands between a family and a nutritious meal. In April 2026, we had the privilege of serving 1,339 families across our community.
But here is the number that truly moves our hearts: 475 of those families — 35.5% — never had to travel to our Sylacauga distribution center. Instead, the food came directly to them, right in their own neighborhoods.
This milestone was only possible because of a dedicated network of community partners who stepped up and went the extra mile — literally — to deliver nourishment and hope to those who needed it most.
A heartfelt thank you to our April 2026 partners:
Alexander City Transportation
Childersburg Transportation
Doorstep Ministry
Lincoln Satellite Distribution
Main Avenue Senior Center
New Beginnings
Oak Grove Transportation
Peace and Goodwill Church Distribution
Sylacauga Transportation
Sylavon Court Transportation
Victory Baptist Church
We always say it takes a village — and we are so grateful to have the absolute best one.
Want to partner with us?
The need is great, and our goal is to reach every corner of our community. If your church, civic group, or organization would like to help get food to neighbors who need it most, we would love to connect. Whether you have a passenger van, a team of volunteers, or simply a heart for outreach, there is a place for you in this work.
Reach out to Cindy Adams at cadams@alchildhoodfood.org to learn how your organization can get involved. Together, we can make sure no family is left behind.
