The 2025 ACFS Charity Golf Tournament on October 7 was a tremendous success, raising an impressive $104,635—surpassing last year's record of $85,000! With 83 dedicated golfers and 23 committed volunteers coming together at Timberline Golf Club in Calera, the event showcased the power of community support for our mission. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to tournament chairman Phil Duke for his tireless leadership and to all the players, sponsors, and volunteers who made this day possible. Their generosity directly supports the families and children we serve every week.
These funds are critical as ACFS is currently planning an exciting expansion project in Childersburg. We are currently raising funds to build a new 20,000 square-foot warehouse distribution center to replace our current 8,500 square-foot facility—a necessary upgrade as we serve 2,550 school children weekly and 1,260 families monthly. The project is only partially funded, which means we must continue our fundraising efforts to make this project a reality.
We're thrilled to announce that the 2026 ACFS Charity Golf Tournament will return to Timberline Golf Club on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, with Tom Wood taking the helm as chairman. Whether you're interested in golfing, sponsoring, volunteering, or donating, we invite you to join us in making next year's tournament even more impactful. Together, we can partner with ACFS to serve more children and families in our community.
